Inspiration of the wrong variety

Sorry, no fantastic art from me tonight guys. Why? because I have a problem. Actually, several problems.

1. I have a job that takes up a good portion of the day.

2. I suspect I am an insomniac or else I am nocturnal at heart because I nearly never go to sleep before 2 AM.

3. When I come home from work, all I want to do is sit around looking at blogs, checking my facebook for non-existent notifications, or take dumb personality quizzes, eating ice cream, and reading really stupid fanfics for twilight which I am realizing is kind of a stupid book. A fact that I am reluctant to admit, because when I was 16 and first started reading them, I had a frienemy totally slam the thing. I don't like the fact that she was probably right.

4. That laziness is coupled with the fact that I have terrible seasonal allergies preventing me from wanting to venture outside, and my allergy meds don't seem to have the same kick they used to. Also those allergies seem to have turned into a horrible cold. Or else I have the swine flu. I have gone through far too many tissues, and not being able to breathe well is a hinderance towards my desire to be energetic.

5. Its been raining for days. Also hindering that desire to go outside.

6. The blogs I have been reading are mostly about fashion. Vintage Fashion. AKA my second love. I'm inspired to go shopping and be stylish every day. I also want to get a retro haircut. I have been researching that kind of thing so I can come back in the fall looking really stylish all the time.

What's so bad about all that? Well, besides my starting to get extraordinarily lazy, I also have no desire to go out and draw. I had my sketchbook when I went with my mom and sister to KFC and drew two horrible sketches of people eating their chicken, and waiting for their order before my mom came and was all "Whatcha drawing? Why are you drawing in pen?" I am self conscious about drawing around people that don't draw on account of their not understanding the process very well, and their being disappointed or something when my drawings turn out to be really sketchy or whatever.

I need sleep so I have energy to go somewhere and find a hotspot for people sitting around for semi-long periods of time.

But I don't wanna go to bed.

Yesterday, from the inspirational fashion blogs I've read, I had a sudden desire to photograph all my jewelry. I covered the flash and it gave everything a red tint, which I played with a little with the photo editing junk on iPhoto.

See the Claratin on the table?

I took at least 20 variations of this photo.

I am so dumb.

First Day of Class

So here is what went down on the first day of class, and maybe you'll see why I am stressed.

One of my lymph nodes is swollen and is really irritating and hurts and is poky feeling in my throat and I dislike that feeling.
I am having some serious altitude sickness, My head has been hurting all day, and I feel a difference in the air from the way it was back home in Maryland. I dunno It is harder to breathe here for me. I hope I don't develop like, asthma or something. Anyway, I've felt sickish all day because of the sore throat and the altitude sickness.
I had to wake up at like 7:45 to get ready for my class at 9- Social dance, which doesn't look like it is going to be bad. Except I need new shoes and I can't really find anything that I like- the ones from target I did like don't come in my size, and the only ones that are left are these lame-o yellow ones and I don't really wear that much yellow. Especially in winter. So I went on amazon.com and will probably get these:
Punkrose Women's Giana Star PumpPunkrose Women's Giana Star Pump
I am just going to wait for my mom to approve or whatever and then I will buy them. The heel is short enough and wide enough that I guess they will be fine, and they are more versatile as far as matching go.

Then I had an hour between classes so I went to the bookstore , and bought a few books for my classes, which were over 200 dollars! Ah that burns me up inside. Anyway I was like dying the whole time because I had my huge coat on since it was cold out, and my head was killing me. and everything. After that I went out to see which building my french class would be in and I wandered around a bit until...

American Heritage Class! that class looks like it will be cool. The teacher seems pretty cool and everything so thats good. I dunno I hear that he is a good teacher but his tests are killer. We'll see. I am good at remembering facts, so maybe I'll do ok...

Then was french. The teacher is young and everything so thats cool, but it seems like its going to be hard. I am having flashbacks of my middle school days with french and they were not pleasant. I will try harder in this class and I vow to work on rosetta stone 30 mins-1 Hour each day. We'll see how that works out.

Then Book of Mormon. I don't know about this one since the teacher didn't even show up. A TA told us about the class. So there you have it

So why am I stresses you ask? WELL, All the kids in the animation major were like "oh you really need to take figure drawing" that is a problem for me at the present time because: I don't have room in my schedule to fit this 3 credit hour class! That means I either have to drop American Heritage, or French, and I don't know which one to do! AH! Stressful! BUT this girl in my animation class told me she tried to add figure drawing earlier, and t was like totally full! People have been waiting on this class since like the beginning of LAST SEMESTER!
AGH!
I'm going to try and add it, but I am not really hopeful at this point. I'll think of something... I could always teach myself figure drawing I guess... ah, I need a break!

Ick...

so its been a while since I posted. Nothing extremely exciting happened to me the past week or so ergo I didn't post anything. Midterms are upon me and I already took the Physical Science one. I did average. Meaning I'm pretty sure I got a C. Its ok. I wasn't really sure what to expect, and I was memorizing things I didn't really need to and sort of skimming over the stuff which I did need.
My next test is Book of Mormon. It starts tomorrow and ends saturday. I'm probably going to end up taking it on friday since I'm going to General Conference on Saturday AND Sunday. I'm not too sure how I feel about Conference. I mean, at home we only watched the Sunday morning session. I hope the talks are engaging. Today at the devotional, which I went to because I missed the one on sunday and I felt bad, there was a guy from the quorum of the 70 and it was super boring. He talked with the same tone someone would use to put a kid to sleep I couldn't pay attention at all! I hope conference is better than that, or I may have to bring my sketchbook along to practice life-drawing so I don't fall asleep. I know thats rotten to say because these people have important things to say, but really, they could spice it up a bit to keep people interested.

Anyway, back to where I was going with this, I was reading up some stuff for anthropology and eating some sour patch watermelons, (I've been eating a lot of those lately) and my throat started hurting. From the sour bits irritating me or am I getting sick? I REALLY Hope that I don't get sick. That would be wretched. The thing is I've been feeling great. No allergies or anything. last year when I came over Rosh Hashanah (which ironically is today) I had terrible allergies. Hopefully the ill feeling I have is more due to the candy than germs. I'm really cold too. I don't know if thats from my possible illness, or because the room is freaking FREEZING because Chanel is one of those people who is hot all the time or whatever and she likes the room to be at 70 degrees with the fan on High. I hope I feel better. Getting sick right now would be TERRIBLE!
