New School year

Its been a long time since I blogged on this old Blog.I've mostly been posting art to my other blog. But its the beginning of a new school year, and I feel like its a good time to start again.

My classes are so great. I've got Old Testament part 2 at 9 AM Mondays and wednesdays, and the teacher is fantastic so far. I feel like he regards the scriptures in the same way I do, and I love it.

Then at noon, I have a Character Design class taught by Ryan Woodward. He's great, I'm excited for this class even though I'm not exactly the best artist hopefully I'll learn a lot. When we have critique days, we'll be putting everyone's art on either the "good" "alright" or "less effective" walls. I am not really excited for this. I have a feeling I'll be on the "less effective" wall for a lot of the class, but thats life.

After that I have a costume design class, which I'm thrilled about. The professor designed stuff for the Utah production of The Little Mermaid show, and already I'm learning stuff that I will be able to use in animation.

Then Tuesday/Thursdays I have a Shader Programming class at 9 am. I have a  feeling that I won't love the class. I really hate programming, but who knows. My super logical brain might love it.

I had a 2D animation class at 1, but I had to drop it in favor of Shader Programming. Still not too happy about it, but what can I do? Take it some other time I guess.

Finally I have a 3D animation class. Our first assignment is to make a guy jump. Its hard. I don't really know what I'm doing, but hopefully I get really good. I've already been in the lab a lot, so hopefullt the time will pay off.

No classes friday, I'm grateful.

I live above a waffle shop that gives us free waffles/crepes every day which is a great perk. I love it!

So far, Life is Fantastic. I'm going to be working really hard this semester. Keep and eye on my art blog. I'll be posting what I've done in class there.

MY NEW ART BLOG

I decided to make an art blog. You can find it HERE

As most of my Followers are only interested in the art side of things, and as this one was really intended to show my relatives and stuff what is going on in my life, I decided to separate them up. go follow that one instead. Go. Now.

Shoe Envy

Ok here is a secret. I am crazy about shoes. I came across these shoes by Annabel Winship, and I automatically wished I was super rich so I could buy some of these

(These remind me of a pair of blue suede sketchers boots with silver stars I had in 4th grade I loved those boots so much but I grew out of them so fast. I wish I could find a pair my size now. These are kind of like those but with red stars. and heels.)

Yes, they are kind of weird, and funky, but thats why I love them. Too bad they are all between £190 and £370. Yes that is Pounds instead of Dollars, which means they are even more expensive than it looks at first glance. I can't justify spending $200+ on shoes But I can dream. Especially when my sneakers look like this:

These were my favorite, but they also have holes in the bottom, which let water in when its wet out, and wet socks suck, plus the straps along the top, which are held together with velcro, no longer fasten super well, plus there is the fact that there is a huge gaping hole in the back. I don't have the heart to throw them out but I probably will when I move apartments. They were super cool though. *sigh*

I got these over the summer, and I've walked holes in the toes, and on the sides. I walk a lot. What can I say?

Also theses Bass Shoes that are coming out supposedly sometime for the Spring/Summer line make make me drool. I want these so, so bad. I think they will be more affordable than the Winship shoes, but, you never know. UGH I LOVE SHOES

One of My favorite Fairly OddParents Episodes

I'm in this history of animation class where we watch old cartoons. Its really cool. I used to be really super into Fairly Oddparents, and this was one of my faves because they talk about the sweet old school cartoons, Now that I've learned a little about the history, some of the comments and signs and things make more sense

Airplane Adventure part 3

So I realizes I never told you what happened on my flight from Vegas to Detroit.
I ended up getting a seat next to this old guy who smelled like cigarette smoke and was carrying a motorcycle helmet. He told me he used to be a member of Hells Angels, but he left because they started caring too much about money. The guy was very chatty, and started telling jokes that would get me kicked out of BYU if I repeated them. They also weren't funny. Then this girl in front of us told him to be quiet, and he started venting to me about how people like her were what was wrong with America, and how she was such a B$%#! and thats how his wife acted which was why he was getting a divorce from her, and how he was a vietnam veteran and I don't know. he just kept talking incessantly and I just smiled and nodded and laughed when it called for it, or mmmed sympathetically when it called for that, because I didn't want this guy to be talking under his breath about how horrible of a person I was. But thankfully when the seatbelt sign when off, he got out of his seat and I snoozed until the seatbelt sign came back on, and he woke me up even though I was feigning sleep anyway, and told me we were about to land.

by the time I got to Detroit I was so tired I wanted sleep forever, then this alarm went off in the airport right as we were about to board, I was about to cry at that point because there was no way I wanted to be stuck in Detroit for longer than I had to be. But they let us board anyway, and I was so relieved, I ended up getting the whole row to myself so I stretched out and napped until the sun shone in my face and I took that photo out of the window. I love clouds. I was seriously tired, and I think that if I could have checked the baggage under my eyes at that point I would have had to pay a fine, they were so large.

I got home and I slept from 10 AM to 10 PM It was awesome.
