Leaving on a Jet Plane

ok This is going to be a quick post. I am sitting in the terminal waiting for my flight to board currently so I can get back home to Maryland. I brought 2 suitcases, a pretty full backpack, and my laptop case. one of my suitcases, was like 20 pounds over the 50 pound weight limit, so I spent like 20 minutes taking out clothes and moving them around so I could fit everything.
I ended up having to unzip this front pocket thing, stuffing clothes into every crevice of my backpack, and my laptop case, and I was shuffling around with all these extra jackets and when I went through security super slow because I had to use like 3 bins to put all my stuff. I'm sure it was quite pitiful looking. I never thought/wanted to be the kind of person that hated airports, but the hassle of lugging around a gigantic backpack and bags full of haphazardly rearranged clothes sort of changed my mind about the whole ordeal. I need to fly somewhere else sometime this summer to fix my perception.

I miss the days where it didn't matter how much luggage you had. Not that I ever knew those days (I don't think. Did the early 90s have limits on luggage?) I do remember when they used to give you better snacks for free.

I sort of wish I was in an alternate reality where there were no such thing as terrorists, and therefore no annoying airport security measures, and not everyone and their grandmother flew so people like me could bring a bag without having to move all my clothes around, and people would think I'm a cool jet setter.

The Bridge Between us is a Rainbow.

OK first of all, Wow, I have gotten such the inspirational positive support for everything. Its true that animation people are the best kind of people. I appreciate it SO much, you have no idea. It has made my 'wallowing in self pity' period super short lived, and has inspired me to work super hard this summer on my art so I will most definitely get in. I needed a year (semester? we'll see once I get the letter. I SO hope they ask me to reapply in August) to work on my generals since I was stupid and didn't get American Heritage out of the way last semester. I took Sociology instead which was good, but unnecessary.

Anyway, This is so a blessing in disguise. I bet I didn't get into animation because God knew that if I didn't work on generals, I would spend all my time doing animation stuff, and not work hard in my other classes and that would be BAD.

I don't know if that's true or not, but I like to think so.

Anyway, I saw High School Musical 17 again. Starring Zac Efron. Not going to lie. The previews make it look really stupid, but it was way funnier than I expected. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, seeing the Zefron playing someone different than Troy Bolton a la High School Musical was really refreshing. You can tell it was made for a wider audience and It was generally a very happy surprise.

The only thing that bugs me about Zefron is that his eyes never seem to be looking at anything. Like , I know his eyes are pointed at people, but there is like, no connection. Wierd. I bet he is secretly a really hot robot.

I'll try and post some art next time. Since that is my new goal, to regale you with great masterpieces. Sweet.

Packing up all your stuff is super lame just FYI

Cram!

So I pretty much finished packing most of my personal belongings today, and doing that is one of the most draining things ever. I feel like I'm about to pass out.
My whole life is packed into these 3 suitcases
I don't know where I'm gonna put my box of art supplies or anything. Its weird having to pick up everything and stuff it in there. Basically there's only clothes in those. I think I'm going to go through and take out more stuff. Awful. If I'd realized/thought about how awful the whole packing situation would be, I'd so be doing this differently. I don't know If I should bring any books, like novels or whatever to read because I really have zero space. I think I can jam a couple DVDs into the laptop case... Packing sucks.

I kind of wish I was going to some cool exotic foreign country so I could pretend I was a globe trekker but no. I'm going to Utah, which to tell you the truth doesn't sound terribly exciting unless you like mountaineering. Not saying that I won't go hiking, but only doing that seems like a drag.

Oh well. I'm going to go take out a pair of jeans, and maybe a shirt or two from my suitcases now.
